Chapter 5 Essay
For my essay ill be writing about chapter 5. So I'll be talking about three reasons. The Patriots fought hard taking the colony toward independence. What basic beliefs drove them to do this? Fundamentally, why did they organize and fight the British? I'll be Naming the three reasons and explain it.
When the patriots fought hard taking the colony toward independence was so they could have the freedom they deserved. Also because they were tired of the tax for things just so the British could get rich and pay off their huge debt from the French and Indian war. And the British was tyranny and King George III was a tyrant. Patriots had a strong beliefs that we can govern ourselves.
The Basic beliefs drove then to do this was for the freedom for the Colony. They were tired of the British doing what they pleased like taxes for tea. King George decided to bring out tax because they wanted more money for England. And they the patriots did a boycott so the British wouldn't get money. Boycott mean that they wont by a certain goods from certain people.
The Patriots organized a plan for when the British came to teach then a lesson. So they were in Lexington when the British soldiers finally reach lexington. King George III said that they had to reach lexington by morning so the British troop marched all night. The Patriots were ready with there weaponry aimed where the soldiers were coming. Even though lots patriots died, hundreds of British troops died.
This whole chapter was filled anger and surprises with the colonists and England. King George III was in debt so he had to tax the colonist for money. The colonist also had a protest on the stamp act. The colonist were angry at him so they protest and there was a boycott with tea. Then the patriot dressed at Native Americans and dumped all the tea off board, but had to pay for all the tea they dumped. Then there was a war against the patriots and the British troops, the patriots also won the war.
